If You Only Knew How Powerful You Are!

if_you_only_knew_how_powerfulDo you live as an eagle or a chicken? A lion or a mouse? A king or a slave? It depends on what you know. Ephesians 1:16-23 paints a breathtaking story for us of what God accomplished through Jesus’ death and resurrection and Paul’s prayer is that our understanding will be flooded with light so that we can truly see how exceptionally powerful we are in Christ Jesus. One of the things he prays for in verse 19 is that every child of God would

Enjoy God’s Power and Favor

Do you know it is easy to experience God’s power and favor in your life and ministry? Yes, it is. You just need to use the right “key” that opens the door of God’s favor to you.  The good news is that God offers that key to everyone. Paul discovered it for himself, and then made it his life’s mission to tell everyone who would listen.

Here it is in a nutshell: Read More

You Have The Power

Have You Received the Spirit Since You Believed?

Have you ever asked anybody whether or not they have received the Holy Spirit since they believed? If not, why haven’t you?  It’s probably either because you have very little, if any, knowledge of the Holy Spirit, or what you think you know about Him is wrong.

Why do I say this? Because in Acts 19, upon meeting some disciples in Ephesus for the first time, the Apostle Paul immediately asked them this very question. Now, if he found it necessary to ask this question of believers, but you have never seen the need to ask it of yourself, or of anyone else, then it can only mean Read More

Can You Live Holy?

180809_Can You Live HolyWhen religious minds hear the message of grace preached uncompromisingly, one of the first objections that arises deals with holiness. They wrongly conclude that telling people that Jesus met every requirement of the Law on their behalf and that God has once and for all forgiven them of all their sins, past, present, and future is giving them license to sin. “What about holy living?” they exclaim. “Doesn’t the Bible say that Read More

Making Tremendous Power Available

James 5:16-18

16. “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.”

James 5:16-18 NKJV

What power! Not because Elijah was special–he wasn’t. But because he was righteous in the sight of God and because he knew God would hear his prayers

May your prayers be more powerful than Elijah’s! May your prayers have the power to cause heaven to rain down blessings of all descriptions upon individuals, families, communities and nations!

The Amplified Version reads:

The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].”

James 5:16 AMPC

Tremendous power, dynamic in its working. That is power capable of blessing people, changing circumstances, solving problems, defeating devils, and establishing destinies.

In junior high school, I learned the difference between potential energy and kinetic energy. Potential energy is the stored energy of an object at rest. Kinetic energy is the energy of an object in motion. By the application of some type of force to the object at rest, potential energy can be transformed to kinetic energy, generating a huge amount of power that can get amazing results.

Jesus promised that you will receive power after the Holy Spirit comes into you. This means the power of the One who created the world out of nothing is inside of you. And this means all the power you need for success in life is within you. All the power you need to triumph is inside of you.

Power that can change any circumstance, solve any problem, defeat any devil resides in you!.

It’s there but may be dormant, inactive, unused. It is potential power waiting to be put into motion; to become dynamic power, power that is working, moving to change people, circumstances and things.

Now, what can you do to put all of this potential, divine power resting in you into motion, so that it can strengthen you to endure any challenge, change any circumstance, solve any problem, and cause any devil or witch to flee? You can pray.

James assures us and Elijah’s example proves it. Prayer, the heartfelt prayer of the righteous, makes tremendous power available. Your prayers can set the power of the Holy Spirit into motion.

But notice, it not everybody who prays who gets this result. It is not everybody’s prayer that generates power to make things happen. James qualified his statement by saying, it is the prayer of the righteous man that accomplishes this.

It is the prayer of the man who is right in God’s sight, right in the sight of the law, and who knows he is righteous in God’s sight and is standing on righteous ground as he prays that can move heaven and earth and hell.

And this is where the blood of Jesus comes in, why the blood is so essential to prayer.

The only thing that can make a man righteous is the blood of Jesus. Not the law—for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But the blood of Jesus!

Rom. 5:9. “Much more than, having been justified by the blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.”

So it is the blood that makes a man righteous before God. Therefore, it is the blood that makes your prayers possible and powerful!

Without the blood, your prayers won’t produce enough power to even blow your nose. You will holler and shout all day, just like the false prophets of Baal. Yet, nothing will happen.

But when you are standing on the blood of Jesus, you are righteous in God’s sight. And when the righteous man prays, his prayers get answered. And when they do, they generate power, tremendous power, power so great, no devil or circumstance can stand up to it

Child of God, the blood makes you righteous. The blood makes your prayer possible and powerful. Pray, therefore, knowing that the effectual, fervent prayers of the righteous avail much!

Break the Power of Temptation God’s Way

Why are you tempted to do the things you do? Why after you have decided you will not engage in a particular sinful behavior do you find yourself still being strongly tempted to do so, and unfortunately losing your battle time and time again? From where does temptation get its power?

James helps to provide us with answers. Read More

Never Again!

For forty days and nights, it rained cats and dogs. The intense rain flooded the entire earth with water for a hundred and fifty days. Every human being died, except for Noah’s family. You can read about one of the worst disasters the earth has ever faced in the book of Genesis, chapters 6 thru 10. This was an act of divine judgment! Read More
